I’m Sara, a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with a Master’s in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. With five years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a warm, human-centered approach to my work with individuals, couples, and families. My style is compassionate, personable, and grounded in creating a space where you can be real... dark humor included.

My passion lies in supporting first responders and their families as they navigate the unique challenges that come with the job. Having a brother-in-law enforcement, I understand firsthand the emotional toll these careers can take on relationships and the family dynamic. I bring both professional training and personal insight into my work with this community, and I’m committed to offering culturally competent care that truly meets people where they are.

Over the years, I’ve worked with young adults, couples, and families experiencing addiction, trauma, and co-occurring mental health disorders. I especially enjoy doing couples and family therapy, helping loved ones understand the complexities of addiction, trauma, and mental health, and supporting the entire system in the process. I’m trained in POST Basic Peer Support, the Gottman Method for couples therapy, and will be done with EMDR training end of November 2025 to further support clients through trauma recovery.

When I’m not in session, you can find me on a mountain trail or catching the sunset at the beach with my dog.

If you're ready to feel supported and understood, especially if you’re part of the first responder community or someone who loves them, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
